Matilda's two month check-up

I forgot to post this earlier...Matilda went to her two month check-up a couple weeks ago! She weighed 13lbs, 8oz and was 23.5 inches long. 95th percentile and 86th percentile. She is a brute compared to what Tavin was at her age. Just goes to show, every baby is different. Must be God's plan because Tavin can be rough with her and near her. He tripped over her and stepped on her at story time today. Yikes! Poor peanut. Another mom said, "The youngest ones are always the toughest ones because they are always given a hard time by their older siblings, even as adults." This mom is the youngest of four so she is speaking from experience. I'd have to say that I agree.  :D  (Love ya, Puke!)

Tavin thinks he can still fit in the bouncy seat...good thing that seat is sturdy!

Tavin is very sweet to Matilda. When she is napping in another room he asks, "Where did baby go?" He gives her kisses and hugs too. When she cries he says, "I know baby, I know baby."

After Dinner Fun.

Don't you wish you had his energy?! If you ever wanted to know why he is such a bean pole, here is why. Any calories he consumes he burns off right away. He does this for several minutes after lunch and dinner, especially after dinner. I think he likes an audience and I finally had the camera ready!

After his run, he likes to dance...and someone better dance with him or else!

Home made play dough

Tavin and I were having fun with home made finger paints and home made play dough. The finger painting was more like water coloring but still messy and fun. Tavin had more fun playing with the wooden spoons than the play dough.

During the haircut...(more than a little unsure) The sucker did little to comfort him, it ended up on the floor.

...and after. He has a new sucker and is content.

 

The beginning of the haircut...before it went horribly wrong for Tavin. He quickly decided getting his haircut was a form of torture. He screamed and cried and I had to hold him down for safety.

The stylist did an excellent job considering she was cutting the hair of a screaming, kicking, two year old with the strength of what seemed like three men. She definitely earned her tip!

Tavin is talking more and we can even understand him!

Halloween 2011

Matt, Brandi and Saige stopped by...I mean a Dr. Jorgensen, Minnie Mouse and Angel Saige stopped by for a visit.

After seeing Saige get candy for wearing her costume, Tavin decided he should too. Tavin the Bumble Bee!
