Matilda loves to use her voice and loves discovering that she can make new sounds. She is more "talkative" than Tavin ever was at this age. Is it a girl thing?

Look who is on the move!
That's right, Matilda is doing the "Army Crawl." She is pretty quick at it too. Matilda has been crawling for a few weeks now. She is all over the place...she goes from the living room to Tavin's room all to keep up with Tavin, of course. Tavin is loving it, he now considers Matilda a real person now that she can move around and is more interesting to him. He crawls on the floor with her and they spend a lot of time giggling together. Tavin's nicknames for Matilda are "Baby" and "Tilda."
In the background of this video Tavin is running around without pants, which is how he likes it best these days. He will find any excuse to take any item of clothing off. I'm learning to just go with it. If we are just hanging around the house anyway then who cares? ...he will have to put on pants eventually...if he wants to get a driver's license someday. (-:

Play date
Tavin and Matilda enjoy playing with their friends Sarah and Graham. Sarah is 3 yrs old and Graham is about 9 mos. They all play very well together while Anne and I try to squeeze in some adult conversation here and there.
Balloon
Matilda was entertaining herself with Tavin's balloon. I put the string around her ankle so she could kick and learn some cause and effect....she got a hold of it with her hands and had a blast, she thought it was hilarious. I love hearing her giggle!
Tavin was enjoying his ABC puzzle. I was trying to keep him occupied and distracted so he wouldn't want to take his balloon away from Matilda. It lasted for just a few minutes.

Teething
Matilda will chew on anything and Tavin doesn't want to be left out. Her first tooth has poked through and another is on it's way.
Duck Pond
Beautiful day at the duck pond and park. We brought bread to feed the ducks and geese. Tavin would throw a piece and then eat a piece. I made the mistake of giving Tavin a whole piece of bread thinking he'd continue to tear and throw, silly me...Tavin threw the entire piece of bread in the pond and "splash" just like in Charlie and Lola! One of the ducks was not bashful at all and got a little too close for comfort. Those ducks must be getting used to kids throwing bread at them.
