We went to Rapid City again for Ted's work. We finally made it to Dinosaur Park!

Such a beautiful view.

A new addition at the Main Library, a puppet castle.

Some water color painting. My attempt at painting a dragonfly. We were admiring the technique in the book, Eliza and the Dragonfly.

Matilda working on our dinosaur floor puzzle.

Abraham the thumb sucker. So cute and precious.

 We re-arranged the kids' playroom.

Abraham, following his sister's footsteps in finger sucking.

Enjoying the puddle after a rain storm. Tavin was floating his "boat" down the little stream.

Abraham in his Jumperoo for the first time!

Tavin is always wanting to help Abraham.

 Target practice at Scheels.

He's building up his strength and sitting upright with his brother and sister.

He loves his hands.

 Lunch out on the deck.

More fun after another rain storm. They found a worm. It is very funny to me that Tavin will pick up a worm with no problem but is overly concerned about his hands getting sticky at meal or snack time.

The property's poor drainage system has luckily been to our benefit. Great fun after the rain.

I think this is a damselfly. It was holding its wings more like a damselfly anyway. We had fun chasing and observing them as well as the grasshoppers, butterflies and crickets. Having that little swampland is actually pretty neat for nature.

Tavin posing and getting goofy.

Abraham, up close and personal.

Matilda! She is getting more difficult to catch on camera.

Playing in the sand with their friend, Benjamin. He has some cool toys!

Puddles and Ponds 7
Books: The Little Wood Duck, Ducks Don't Get Wet
Activity: Wet feather experiment
Poem: A Dragonfly
Music/Art: Track 7 from Can You Hear It?

We are having fun with Puddles and Ponds! We have splashed in puddles and visited ponds. It's like we were meant for Wee Folk Art

Abraham is getting stronger every day!

Tavin sure is a sweet, big brother. He loves to hang out with Abraham showing him toys and books and telling him stories.

 Sweet, goofy Matilda.

Tavin's drawings are starting to resemble what he says they are. Very exciting to see him progress. Here he wanted to draw Mickey Mouse in the front cover of his new book.

Abraham is full of adorable expressions.

A Mayfly landed on my back during one of our outings with our co-op friends. Someone was kind enough to take a few pictures of it for me.

Tavin, down by the creek.

Matilda liked hanging out by these trees.

Fun with Gillen Cousins!

 Crazy eyes art.

Hanging out at the Arboretum after our picnic with friends.

The remnants of our wet feather experiment.

Ted has been out traveling a lot for work this summer. The kids and I miss him while he is away but it makes for fun reunions.

Splashing in the puddles! They start out dry but end up soaking wet, so much for the rain boots.

The Outdoor Campus here is great for year round activities. We were with our co-op friends learning all about fishing. We had some casting and reeling in practice on the grass before we went to the pond.

Such patience and concentration.

Finally caught one! Just in time too. Tavin was starting to loose interest in fishing. I'm very glad he got to help reel it in and hold it.
