It's April already?

It's been too long since the last post! Time flies when you're having fun and these kiddos do keep me busy. I went out grocery shopping for a bit today by myself. (I took my time too. After all, Ted was gone for two weeks!) When I came back Ted looked a little stressed. He said, "They were into everything!" Yep, that's what they do best. They're ready for some nice warm weather for outdoor play! Aren't we all?
Here are a few photos from the last couple months.

Books! One of Matilda's favorite things. She looks engrossed, doesn't she?

Piper and Matilda enjoying a story. Piper is soon to be eight and is reading at a fifth grade level!

Tavin wants to join in on the fun!

Matilda in a little hide-out spot.

Peek!

They sit so nicely together until you bring out the camera. You must be quick!

Yum, yum, suckers. Sugar on a stick, a special treat.

Our little kitchen helpers having a snack.

Tavin said he was cooking. Cooking up a mess it would appear.

Helping in the kitchen....again. A lot of kitchen fun in this house.

Matilda, mastering the use of a fork...and fixing her hair.

Visiting Grandpa Jerry and watching the big dogs outside. I love this photo of Tavin! He's so sweet!

Having a yogurt snack, she pauses to give me a mischievous look.

No more crib for Matilda. She's moved on up to a toddler bed.

Tavin, playing with some cars. He says, "I'm playing cars."

Grrrr.

Window crayon art with the Gillen Girls. Yes, they're washable...with a little elbow grease I might add.

Tavin felt he needed to wear a Viking shirt to match his new hat knitted by Grandma Sandy. Matilda's hat just happened to match her pajama bottoms.

Tavin and Matilda sat, briefly, for a posed photo Easter morning.

Tavin likes to take the camera away from me.

Looking cool on the ride to Great Grandma Elaine's house.

Running around out in Great Grandma's backyard.

Smile, Tavin. Handsome boy!

Mmm, chocolate Easter bunny. He looks pleased.

Matilda thought she was just handed some plastic bunny but decided to taste it anyway...what a pleasant surprise! Her whole body and facial expression showed her delight! This toy is delicious!

Our attempts at an Easter family portrait. The kids are just too busy for such business.

Not even 7:00 a.m. and Tavin and Matilda are in costumes.

It fits and he likes it!

November/December continued...

I forgot about these images that were on my phone!

Cupboard play. As you probably know by now, they love to play in the cupboards. I finally emptied this cupboard for their own playtime use.

Tavin and his friend, Benjamin, playing on one of the rides at the mall.

The floor piano at the Washington Pavilion. Tavin, Matilda and Benjamin.

Matilda and Tavin in their fancy gloves. Who knew they'd think dollar store gloves would be so cool?!

Tavin playing with his sensory bucket full of beans, pasta and rice.

Tavin in his sensory bucket.

Tavin and Matilda on Thanksgiving.

Christmas at Great Grandma's house. Matilda was hard to catch.

Matilda and Tavin by the Christmas tree.

Their rocket ship from the Gillen's. Hours of fun of coloring and playing.

November/December

We have been visiting the Washington Pavilion with our friends Lindsay and Benjamin. The water table in the toddler room is a big hit for the kiddos.

Matilda crawling on a "flower pedal" cushion.

Tavin is learning about gears.

Tavin and Matilda love to play on the couch.
Matilda likes to point at you, wag her finger and say, "Uh, uh, uhhh."

All the kids love this large rocking chair at Great Grandma Elaine's. (Thanksgiving)

What a darling face.

Nana and Papa came to SD for a visit.

Tavin and Nana were decorating brownies. Tavin had to make sure the frosting tasted alright.
He's so thoughtful.

Nana was showing Tavin and Matilda how to make "Superman Soup."

So much fun in the kitchen with Nana. Here they are making bread.

Ted and his father, Tom. You can't tell they're father and son at all. *Sarcasm* (I had to get their feet in the picture to prove that point even more.)

Matilda and Tavin hanging out in their jammies with Daddy.

Christmas at Great Grandma's house. I caught them doing something.

Soooo many cookies! Raina and Tavin were in heaven.

Matilda getting ready to walk in Great Grandma's Danish Clogs.
All us kids have walked in those clogs, it's practically a rite of passage.

Daddy putting Matilda's butterfly blanket on her.

Tavin in his dinosaur blanket trying to scare Aunt Liz.

All the kids! Mia, Cecilia, Matilda, Raina, Piper and Tavin the out numbered boy. (photo by Aunt Karen)
