Where did September go?

September has gone by quickly. Too quickly! We do keep ourselves occupied. We have been doing our Five In A Row books. (FIAR) The Story About Ping, Lentil, Madeline
and now A Pair of Red Clogs.
These stories have all been wonderful!
We are also doing RightStart Math and Explode the Code for phonics. And when Tavin is feeling really cooperative we use Teach Your Child To Read In 100 Easy Lessons.

We do our "formal" lessons in the mornings and have our afternoons to play. Monday afternoons we have a scheduled get together with friends for play.
(For the moms as well as the kids.)
Tuesday afternoons are our library time for story time and picking out more books.
Wednesday and Thursday afternoons are open.
On Friday's we go to an enrichment co-op. Music, art, PE and unit studies for infants up to 3rd grade. (The babies just hang out and look cute, of course.)
Sounds like a lot going on to me. I hope it isn't too much.

Tavin playing with his Mighty Mind game in his own way, naturally.

Library play room.
Sweet Miss Matilda on her birthday.

The kids were playing their harmonicas in the bathtub just like in the book Lentil.

Here they are sucking on lemons and puckering their lips like in the book Lentil.

Co-op art class. Making leaf prints.

Squeezing lemons for lemonade.

Tavin actually likes sucking on lemons. Go figure.
Cutie pie Abe.
Out on a nature walk.
More cutie pie Abe.

Matilda being sweet to her little brother.
Catching grasshoppers. There are a lot of those around here.
Our selfie.
Having a snack in the shade.
Splashing in the puddle. That spot has been great fun for puddles.

Building towers and castles.
Birthday party! Fun with silly string!
Opening of presents!

Cake!

Abe with his balloon! He had a great time with this. He even got a hold of it with his hands.
Alphabet puzzle time. Those have definitely gotten good use.

Family Camp Mud and First Day of School

These first two photos are what happened shortly after we arrived to our cabin at Family Camp during Labor Day weekend. We had a lot of family fun that weekend!

This one will be enlarged and framed.

Abe wanted to help daddy hold the flashlight.

Their first day of school photos. They are so cute and silly.

Some painting of hands and paper.

They were peeling some eggs for me. They even tried some but didn't approve.

Enjoying a smoothie and chatting with Abe.
