I have access to a computer again! (Our laptop went kaput.)
These books have been great! We loved Thundercake! There was even a recipe for the Thundercake at the back of the book. This was timely being as we needed a cake for Ted's birthday.

Here are some pictures of what we've done the last couple weeks.

Kinetic Sand. This stuff is pretty cool. I highly recommend it.

Making the tornado mix.

The tornado was difficult to see without the use of a flashlight but it was still fun for the kids.

Magnet puzzle map.
The magnets themselves are a little more flimsy than I would like but they serve their purpose.

Rocket ship at the library! The kids loved this. We better go back soon if it hasn't already been destroyed from a lot of use.

Painting rocks and pine cones as bees in our Waldorf-like Co-op. We've made some great friends!

Matilda was just messing around here but she did get some in the right places.

Trip to the zoo with Molly and Madalyn.

Cutie Pie!

Put up your dukes!

Lining up the spoons and spatulas.

This pile of sand was just dumped off right before our eyes! We couldn't resist!

Mixing up the pancake batter.

I have no idea what she was up to but it was very important work.

Rainbow, milk, soap experiment.

Our Thundercake!

Finger painting and learning about primary colors and color mixing.

Beeswax molding, sort of.

Rain gear!

Cuddles!

We visited a honey bee farm with our co-op group. This was wonderful! Very informative too. The bee keeper was only 18 and had already been at it for four years! Impressive!

Puddles and Ponds - 3

Books: Rabbits and Raindrops, Down Comes The Rain
Activity: Water vapor
Poem: Rain Clouds
Music/Art Study: Track 3 from Can You Hear It

Our first week without Ted or Nana. Monday had rough moments. I made bread on our first day back to our new "normal". Big mistake. The rest of the week went pretty well and pretty quickly.
We have had good, cloudy weather to go along with our books. Rabbits and Raindrops is adorable.

Stickers and drawing have been very popular lately.

Brushing their teeth with the new "timer."

Some very important work.

Brothers cuddling.

Such concentration.

We went to McKennan Park for the park play performance, Puss and Boots. It was great! After the play we played by some trees and waited for the playground to clear out a little from the crowd.

Our adorable children snuggling on a blanket.

Playing in the dirt with sticks and nutshells.
Matilda was knocking on the tree for Mr. Squirrel to come get his nuts.

Tavin flipping pancakes. He said, "When I'm five, I'll be better at it."

Umbrellas are also very popular these days.

Saying a prayer before snack time.

Another park adventure. This is at Upper Sherman Park. Lots of beautiful, big trees.

They got tired of the playground equipment and went to sand and sticks.

Our expressive boy, Abe. I wonder what he was thinking?

We had a good time at the Outdoor Campus.

The beginning of our Wet and Wild nature walk.

In the water with their nets.

Matilda fell in the water which was upsetting to her at first but she felt a little better after removing her shirt and throwing some rocks.

Blue Steel.

Tavin got pretty brave out their in his Spider Man rain boots.

We had fun on our nature walk. We saw a snapping turtle, a painted turtle, ducks, a tadpole, a crawdad and various bugs. And we even did some socializing. :p
