Tavin, the good big brother!

Tavin has decided that Matilda is a bit of alright. He has been wanting to hold her, hug her and give her kisses....sometimes.

Matilda had her one week check-up today. She was born weighing in at 6 lbs 12.5 oz, left the hospital weighing 6 lbs 5 oz and today she tipped the scales at 7 lbs. She is a good little eater. Her doctor was very pleased!

I didn't think I'd get into the cutsie girl stuff but when I saw these little outfits, passed down from Heidi, I couldn't resist putting Matilda in them and taking some pictures.

Tavin is back home too!

Tavin had fun staying with the Gillens while Matilda was entering the world. Here we all are enjoying being home again while Tavin entertains himself (and us) with Matilda's balloons.

Abracadabra! It's a girl!!

Matilda was born at 4:06 AM at the Vermillion, South Dakota, Sanford Hospital.  On the very first day of the rest of her life she weighed in at 6lbs 12.5oz and is 19.5 inches long!

Matilda made a good first impression with Tavin when she got him a cool blue car!
