Puddles and Ponds - 2

Books: Little Cloud and The Cloud Book
Activities: Cloud Predictions and cloud watching
Poem: Rain Clouds
Music/Art Study: Track 2 from Can You Hear It

Our last week with Nana. )-:

We had a tea party and enjoyed some scrumptious banana bread made by Nana. Tavin and Matilda washed their dishes after testing to see what does and does not float, of course.

The imagnets have been brought out a lot lately.

Water color painting. Tavin's artwork has improved. He is actually working on making pictures and not blending all the colors together to make one big blob. Not that there is anything wrong with a blob, Matilda, but it is nice to see some separate colors too.

Nana knitting my beautiful prayer shawl.

Abraham on his play mat with big brother Tavin.

Finger, hand and feet painting outside.

Bath immediately followed.

Time with Daddy on the deck. This was on the 4th of July. We all (Nana and Papa too) went to Uncle Jack and Aunt Karen's house in Yankton for time with family and delicious food.

Coloring clouds with their beeswax crayons.

Nana and Abraham.

Tavin and Matilda climbing on the rocks at Falls Park. They played happily on this little shaded area for about 35 minutes. They probably would have stayed there contentedly for many more minutes if we hadn't wanted to go to the tower to see the view from above.
(Oh look, mares' tails, cirrus clouds!)

After Falls Park we walked downtown to see the sculptures and had lunch at the Phillips Diner. Tavin played with salt and pepper on a plate.

Nana held Abraham.

Matilda blew bubbles in her lemonade.

Tavin wanted his picture next to Humpty Dumpty.
