Tavin was a little shy when his visitors first arrived but it didn't take long before he was showing off for everyone! He danced, he sang, he ran around and even jumped right on top of Grandpa! Hope you are okay, Grandpa!

Driscoll Visit
Vanessa, Brian and Blixa came to visit us from the Twin Cities for an afternoon. Blixa enjoyed running around in our yard, licking Tavin and chasing after the cats. Vanessa took some photos of Tavin in the backyard. We left the cats and dog at home and went out for a nice lunch and good conversation.

The other morning while trying to comb Tavin's hair as he was crying and squirming, I decided to give him a haircut! Ted thought the razor should be brought out but I just couldn't do that to our little boy! This short haircut makes him look so much older to me! )-: At least there shouldn't be any more confusion for those who are clearly unobservant as to whether or not Tavin is a BOY!
Not too much longer for the baby to arrive! I've been doing really well for the exception of the lack of sleep but I guess I had better get used to it.

Running around in the back yard...
Tavin is enjoying the back yard! He likes to run around and kick his ball, ride his trike, push his lawnmower and chase the kitties.
I close the outer garage door to keep him in the yard. I've learned that going out with him and his trike, without Ted, doesn't end well. I usually end up pushing the trike back home while carrying him while he is kicking and yelling. It's a workout for me and not something a pregnant lady wants to do in the heat.

Fun at Walmart?!?!
Who knew that Walmart could be fun? We stopped by the little game room so Tavin could play on the Army Jeep. I didn't even need to plug any money into it, he thought it was great. It did make some unexpected noise, which freaked him out a little bit as you see in the end of the video. When it was time to go you would have thought I was some crazy lady trying to abduct him by the way he screamed. He squirmed and squawked almost all the way back to the car. Don't you just love those embarrassing moments as a parent?
I gave Tavin a haircut yesterday and today a woman my age still referred to him as a little girl. I suppose around here boys are supposed to all have buzz cuts.
(I did some filter effects to a few of the pics. Can you tell which ones?)
