Pool Fun!

Tavin's friend, Hannie, came over to play in the kiddie pool today. They had so much fun splashing around in the water! Hannie is more mobile than Tavin and couldn't decide if she wanted to stay in the pool or out, there was so much to explore in a new backyard. Hannie was showing Tavin how to walk when they were inside playing. He was watching her carefully and taking notes.

Hannie gave Tavin some of her toys that she has out grown. Thank you Hannie!

Two front teeth

Tavin's top two front teeth have made their appearance! He is enjoying more food and loves to chew on pretty much anything. He is crawling all over the place and pulling himself up on anything he can. He loves pulling himself up on the pet gate and walking along side of it.

It is getting more and more difficult to change his diaper. He flips himself over and wants to get away. I have resorted to putting him on the floor when I change him which is safer than the changing table but easier for him to crawl away. I let him crawl around naked today for a little while since he was refusing his diaper. I figured that at least he got to air out a bit. He enjoyed being so free.

Babbling and Pulling himself up!

Tavin loves his activity table! He crawls right up to it and pulls himself up. The table is the perfect height for him. What a great find, best money spent at a garage sale.

Eating and Playing

Tavin had his first pool party today. The water was a little too cold for him or maybe he was just scared. I tried stickng his toes in the water and he just cried. It was fun to hang out on blankets in the back yard with our friends.

Tavin is trying more solid food. He does enjoy playing with all the textures in his hands over being spoon fed. He gets a little messy but that's okay!

Tavin is Crawling!!

Our sweet baby Tavin is crawling! Oh my goodness how the time goes by. We are in trouble now. We will see just how baby proofed our house is. We lost our other camera that does video and this one is kind of poopy but at least it captured the moment. I am also adding some photos of Tavin at a playdate and napping with daddy. In one of those photos he looks like he is doing pushups. Haha.

Sweet Baby Tavin

Tavin is seven months old tomorrow. Which means he is now closer to a year old than a new born baby! :-( It makes me sad and happy all at once. His personality is so sweet and fun and I love watching him develop into this little person. It seems like it is happening so fast! I have been trying to get him to nap in his crib. I'm torn on wanting to hold him while he sleeps or getting something done around the house. My chores will always be there for me, I will hold him while I can.

First Tooth

Tavin's first tooth has erupted! The lower right central incisor. He has been in the teething process for what seems like two months now, the drooling, chewing or gnawing on everything and the eating strikes! Well today the first tooth is finally here. I thought that I saw a little white bud on his gums but I didn't think much of it because that had happened before. I decided to put my finger in his mouth (don't worry, I had just washed my hands) to feel around and let him chew on it...and there it was! That little tooth is sharp! Poor little guy was a little crabby today but he still managed to give me some laughter and smiles.
